my AFRICA part 1

I WAS INVITED TO TAKE PART OF A CHARITY FASHION SHOW FOR NIGERIAN REUNION in Houston TX presented by STYLEMEFABOLOUS on June 26Th. I WILL NOT BE PRESENT FOR THE EVENT because I will still be in AFRICA but " MY AFRICA part 1" WILL BE revealed . This collection is very dear to my hear because I created the series in anticipation to coming back to my roots . The creative process took alot of daydreaming and my deep thoughts of the "what if " aka what to expect before I arrived here in Africa. The collection will be shown in 2 separate shows in 2 different countries. I am currently working on the " my Africa " part 2 which will be revealed at the contemporary museum( go down arts center) of east Africa in Nairobi Kenya, Africa on June 20th. The inspiration for my latest work is my current experiences being here and the amnesia we as African Americans have about Africa and vice versa of native Africans. SO in other words its the before and after of my life of crossing cultures.
