Dear friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. Some great things have happened recently, and I wanted to share with you what’s been going on. I am a member of a church and a movement called The Awakenings Movement. We are a community that is designed to challenge and equip ordinary people to experience extra-ordinary lives through the power and love of Christ.

As a community, we are commissioned to mobilize people to awaken the world to the love of god in Christ. We humbly guide others to excavate the presence of Christ in their past pains, their realities, and their future possibilities. Our community has some creative ways of living that out, and I want to share with you what we are doing.

This year, I will journey as a missionary to Kenya, Africa to discover meaning and significance through service from June 1-27, 2009. Our mission is to meet the crucial human needs of native Kenyans while we do life with them. Our mission is to meet with the orphanages of a Nairobi, Nakuru, and the Rift Valley region of Kenya. We will travel throughout this nation sharing our talents, gifts and hearts. Some programs include showcasing the arts, education and project building.

As a visual artist I understand my call to become a full time activist, visionary and humanitarian. My mission in life is to bring social awareness with my one of kind ear pieces by combing the love of fashion and art. To see my artistry is to voyage through real problems we face every day by making it a conscience fashion statement. My goal is to make history an accessory. For this reason, I welcome Kenya into my heart with the hopes of Kenyans welcoming me into theirs. In making this promulgation I will highlight the triumph of humanity and be an instrument in paving the way.

In order to spend this time in Kenya, it will cost approximately $4,600 for travel, lodging and food. My deadline for raising this amount is April 1, 2009. I am inviting everyone I know to invest in what God is doing through The Awakenings Movement in Kenya by joining both my support team and prayer team.
